Coal Dryer – Product Introduction
Processing Capacity: 2-50 t/h
Application Scope: Mainly suitable for coal products such as clean coal, tail coal, slack coal, and coal washed in coal preparation plants.
Applicable Materials: Washed coal, cleaned coal, slack clean coal, mixed clean coal, coal powder, etc.

Coal Dryer – Product Advantages
- Large Processing Capacity & Low Drying CostThe dryer has strong overload resistance, large processing capacity, low fuel consumption and reduced drying costs.
- Concurrent-Flow Drying & Low Outlet Temperature
Adopting the concurrent-flow drying method, flue gas and wet materials enter the dryer from the same side. High-temperature flue gas can be fully utilized to achieve high evaporation intensity, resulting in low outlet temperature and high thermal efficiency of the dryer.
- New-Type Feeding System: No Blockage & Uniform Drying
The innovative feeding and discharging device eliminates issues such as feeding blockage, discontinuous feeding, uneven feeding and material backflow that are common in rotary drum dryers, thus reducing the load on the dust removal system.
- Low Wear & Stable Operation
The dryer is equipped with a self-aligning riding wheel device, which ensures that the contact between riding wheels and tire rings remains linear at all times. This design significantly reduces wear and power consumption.
- Controllable Moisture Content & High-Quality Finished Products
The moisture content of the final product can be controlled according to user requirements, with the moisture content of dried coal reaching below 8%. Operating parameters can be adjusted based on the properties of different materials, enabling the materials to form a stable full-section material curtain inside the dryer cylinder for sufficient heat and mass exchange.
- Multi-Channel Pulverized Coal Burner: Strong Adaptability
The heat source of the clean coal dryer adopts a multi-channel burner with an oil injection ignition device, and is equipped with a fuel supply system for burner ignition. The extension length and angle of the burner are adjustable.
Coal Dryer – Working Principle & Process Flow
The clean coal dryer is mainly composed of a heat source, feeding device, belt feeder, rotary drum, belt discharger, induced draft fan, dust collector and power distribution cabinet. The working principle of the equipment is as follows:

Due to its certain adhesiveness, wet materials go through the following working zones after entering the drying drum:
- Material Guiding Zone: Wet materials enter this zone and come into contact with high-temperature hot air, where moisture is rapidly evaporated. Driven by the lifting plates with large guide angles, the materials are guided to the next zone without caking.
- Lifting & Cleaning Zone: Wet materials are lifted by the lifting plates to form a material curtain in this zone. When the materials fall, they tend to adhere to the drum wall. Thanks to the built-in cleaning device, the materials adhering to the inner wall are effectively removed. Meanwhile, the cleaning device also crushes agglomerated material lumps, increasing the heat exchange area and improving the drying rate.
- Inclined Lifting Plate Zone: In this zone, wet coal slime turns into a loose state with low moisture content and no longer sticks to the drum wall. After sufficient heat exchange, the materials reach the required moisture level and move to the final discharging zone.
- Discharging Zone: There are no lifting plates in this zone of the drum. The materials roll and slide to the discharge port, completing the entire drying process.
